It all starts with a Decision

Eteng Mohwasa, aka Eteng Mo is a young, fun and ambitious woman. Born and raised by a wonderful mother and supportive family and friends. She is a member of the Royal Assembly Ministries International . Eteng is God fearing and principled woman who is passionate about behavioural change and youth development. With her life experience and exposure she has coordinated and facilitated youth programs across the nation. Working as a volunteer has exposed her to so much giving and living. She holds a qualification in Risk Management, which she wishes to use to change and help many youth businesses in Botswana.

I am a product of my decisions; good or bad it all lies with me. I have done tonne of bad and a hundred fold of good in my growing up. I did then what I knew how to do but now that I know better, I do better. With every situation there is a lesson to learn and an experience to enjoy; the outcomes desired are determined by the seeds we sow. My life is a testimony of the good works of God, life, family and friends.

God has created us in such a way that we cannot be ultimately satisfied by anything except Him. Inside each one of us is a God-shaped vacuum that only He can fill.

The great power of decision making comes with the realisation that God is teaching and bringing me to the awareness that He is always waiting on us to engage our faith and live out His Word. God cannot be mocked. He is not a respecter of persons but a respecter of a decision and principle. God is such a gentleman; whenever you permit Him to be Lord over your life, life begins because life is God. Being raised by a loving single mother has its challenges but I thank the Lord for giving me the privilege to appreciate and love them for the different roles they play in my life. I love my parents dearly and each day of my life I grow to realize why they were chosen out of love to be my parents.

Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you. – Exodus 20:12

In all my decisions I work towards furthering God’s Kingdom, with every opportunity I look forward to the peace I will get and I always question; who I am pleasing with the decision? Being a BCom Risk Management graduate with a great passion for business and baking, God inspired me to start a cupcake business. My walk with Christ in this business has taught me a lot and opened great opportunities for me. I have learnt to trust in myself more, I have learnt to believe in myself again and Christ has opened me up to great opportunities that allow me to align and marry my God-given talent with my burning heart’s desires.

Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates. – Proverbs 31:31

One of my greatest desires is to share with the world and those around me the peace God has blessed me with. It was not easy getting to this point of indescribable peace, love, joy and happiness but it was and it is all worth it. It is all a journey of growth, acceptance and full manifestation of God’s glory. Through baking, I am able to share this peace with those around me as God continues to bless me with creative ways of putting a smile on someone’s face each time I bake. MoCupcakes is all about peace, love and the cupcake craze. I seek God’s counsel in all I do. God has it all covered and what He has for me will always be for me and will not pass me by.

In the world of today we often get stuck with pleasing people or not doing what God has intended for us because we are busy wondering what people will think. The Bible does tell us that God uses the foolish things to confound the wise. The truth of the matter is that God is our status quo. Going against His will only set you back; not Him, hence my decision is to choose Him daily. Run your own race. The only person that you are made in His likeness is the Creator himself, so stop comparing yourself to those around you. It is important to seek and know who you are in Christ. Only then will you begin to enjoy life in abundance.

With Love, EM
