We live our lives as if today is the first of many, what if it’s the last? What have you done that is worth living for? What have you done that is worth remembering you for? As the year ends we look back to the goals we had set at the beginning of the year and we try find out if we have conquered the weight scales, found love, passed exams or got married…. Every goal we have set we try to accomplish in one year.

God says in Jeremiah 29:11 that He knows the plans He has for us, that He wants us to succeed prosper, that means that God wants us to succeed I every area however the Bible does say in Matthew 6:30-33, “If God gives such attention to the appearance wildflowers–most of which are never even seen–don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, and God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”(MSG)

So God is technically saying to us, He has plans for us but we should not worry about these plans but rather be concerned with seeking Him and His ways first.

He is telling us that His plan is slow to us but it’s worth the wait. How Glorious! How many times do we fret about what we should plan for and what we want and need? Don’t get me wrong, God loves a prepared heart, we were called to be prepared for anything, to plan and desire but just imagine how great it is for us to know that what God has planned for us and what we want, need and hope for is already in His plan if we seek Him first.

Now coming back to reality, it makes sense how many people will always want to get the reward rather than seek the Rewarder, we go out of our way to get that scholarship, that job or that dream life but do we ever consider God? He has an amazing plan for you but as you know the best things never come in an instance, they take time. Most of us want to quit, we all have evidence that could make us doubt His plans but all He asks is for us to hold on and seek Him. There are many people who do not know God and His plans for them and they live their lives oblivious to this.

On the other hand, those of us who know Him, walk around closing off His plans just because we do not know these plans and we do not seek Him wholeheartedly.

That explains why, we as Christians, are not as wealthy or influential as we should be because we do not seek God’s plan for our lives, as we should.

So be somebody to someone these holidays, give someone the joy of salvation, be alert for the lost souls out there. People have made holidays all about worldly pursuits, or actions that do not glorify God or reflect God’s principles, but rather make these holidays a chance for heaven to have its own party. Seek Him and His Kingdom and ALL things including His plans for you will be met.

With Love, LADL.
